About Zino's top 10

It all started with the Padres and their losing ways... They inspired me to write a list of reasons why they stunk. I was laughing out loud writing it, yes I know I laugh at my own jokes, and thought it might be fun to share the list with others.
I love the Scott & BR show on XX1090 am, my kids and I listen to it every morning on the way to school, and so I thought the two of them reading it on their show would really be fun. I sent the list to Scott and Marty (morning show producer), and was surprised to quickly get a positive response from Scott. There was one catch though, he wanted me to do it on the air...
I can have a fairly thick accent, particularly early in the morning, but Scott really wanted me to do it, and so I did. It was apparently well received, although I think they liked the name zino more then the top 10 list, and so they wanted me to do it again and so I did...
I sent the 2nd radio bit to a few friends and they all wanted me to keep sending it to them. I created this blog to share the lists with them and all the Scott & BR fans.
Please jump in and comment, on the lists or anything you care about, I enjoy the feedback...

Top 10 reasons the Padres should bring back Phil Nevin

Scott and BR went on vacation, Scott for two weeks and BR for just one. Originally, I had planned to also take two weeks off, but when BR came back, I found out from Ryan the producer, that Phil Nevin was going to co-host. I couldn't pass up the idea of doing "The top 10 reasons the Padres should bring back Phil Nevin....

To listen to the list on the radio show, its a lot more fun then reading, click here....Take a listen

Top 10 reasons Padres should bring back Phil Nevin

10) He would actually make contact with the ball with a runner on third and nobody out

9) He would slap Kevin Tower silly if he acquired or even looked at another relief pitcher

8) Sandy said he could double as an advance scout for the Padres

7) He would add speed to the current line up

6) Maddux might actually win another game this year…

5) We would not have to listen to him on the radio anymore

4) He would actually get upset and show some fire when we lost a game

3) He promised not to complain about Petco park anymore

2) He batted .274 with 12 Hr and 33 RBI in only 176 AB’s in 2006 with Chicago. That would rank him 3rd in Hr’s and RBI’s with our current roaster

And the number one reason Padres should bring back Phil….

1) He would be the best catcher on the team right now

All went well, I had a lot of fun doing it and it sounded like Phil enjoyed it, but I am looking forward to having Scott back next week.
