I had a great time this morning on the show. Scott and BR were on, and Pratty did a god job with the sound effects. I missed when I brought up the Open thing, there was a joke behind it but I didn't pull the trigger soon enough... Anyway, here is the list...
Top 10 real reasons why Padres are not bringing up Chase Headley
10) He won’t fit in with the team, he doesn’t strike out enough
9) Marty has a thing for P-mac and doesn’t want to see him released
8) It might hurt Scott Hairston’s feelings
7) He reminds KT too much of Phil Nevin
6) They don’t want to hurt the attendance in Portland
5) They are waiting until after the divorce to see if John Mores can still afford him
4) Mayor Sanders heard that Headley supports Steve Francis
3) He is not a relief pitcher with an ERA above 5.00
2) They are waiting for the steroids to clear out of his body
And the number one reason the Padres are not bringing up Headley is….
1) Chase refuses to come up because he doesn’t want to get any more special hugs from Giles
Funny part is that when I am on the radio, it is difficult to really know how the bit really went. I just listened to this top 10 list and I think it's the best one I've done so far. Take a listen
